Why should I join Silhouette U if all of the content on Silhouette School Blog is free?

Silhouette U is a higher learning extension where you'll find content that isn't available on Silhouette School Blog.  By joining Silhouette U, you'll have access to video tutorials and free commercial use design files added every month.  You'll also be able to download a free annual members only mini-guide that won't be for sale anywhere else.  The only place to get this mini-guide is by joining!  Silhouette U members will also be able to join a members only Facebook group where you'll have exclusive Facebook Live Q&A sessions, monthly giveaways, 1:1 time with Melissa during her "office hours" via Facebook Messenger, and access a community of Silhouette crafters as passionate as you are!

What are the different membership options?

There are several membership options to join Silhouette U.  Monthly memberships start at $12.99.  If you plan to remain a member for several months (we hope you do!), a 6 month membership is available for $69.99 which reflects a 10% discount, and a 12 month membership is available for $129.99 - that's our best value with almost 2 months free!

What happens at the end of my membership period?

All memberships automatically renew  for the same term and price as the original term unless you cancel priori to the renewal.  For example, if you sign up for a monthly membership, you will be charged $12.99 after your first month expires.  Similarly, if you sign up for a 6 month membership, you will be charged $69.99 after your 6th month expires.

Where can I find my membership status?

Click on Your Account - View or Cancel Plan(s).

How do I upgrade my membership plan?

To change membership plans, click on Your Account - Change Membership Plan.  Then follow the steps to select your new plan.  

If you upgrade, you will pay a prorated amount for the new plan based on the remaining time left in your current plan.  

If you downgrade, you will receive a prorated credit on your account for the time remaining on your current plan which will be applied to future payments.

How do I cancel my membership?

Memberships may be cancelled at any time.  To cancel, click on Your Account - View or Cancel Plan(s), then click on the Cancel Subscription link.

Your membership will then expire at the end of the period you purchased.  For example, if you purchase a monthly membership and decide to cancel after 3 days, your membership will expire at the end of the 1 month term.  Similarly, if you purchase a 6 month membership and decide to cancel after 21 days, your membership will expire at the end of the 6th month term.  No refunds will be honored for cancelling during the period you purchased - if you decide to cancel, your membership will simply end when the period you purchased (1 month, 6 months or 12 months) expires.

What is the refund policy?

There are no refunds on memberships, but you may cancel at any time.  Once you have decided to cancel, your membership will then expire at the end of the period you purchased.

How do I update my payment information?

Go to Your Account - Update Credit Card.

How do I join the members-only Silhouette U Facebook group?

Start by clicking here.  Once you are there, please click "Request Access".  This will shoot the administrators request, and you'll be granted access to the Facebook group in about 1 business day.

*Please ensure that your Silhouette U profile name EXACTLY matches your Facebook profile name. You can update your Silhouette U profile name by clicking Your Account. Requests will not be accepted without an exact match*

How do I download the commercial use files?

Click on the Commercial Use Files tab in the top navigation bar or click here.  This page will then explain the file types, how you can use them, and how often they update, and of course...the files!  To download any of the files, just click on the the appropriate link below the image of the file.

Can I download the videos?

Video tutorials are only available for streaming, and thus cannot be downloaded or saved to your device.  The good news is that all videos are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the Videos section of Silhouette U.

Can I gift a Silhouette U membership to someone else?

Yes you can! Silhouette U gift cards are offered in 1, 6 and 12 month membership plans. Click here to learn more about gifting Silhouette U and to purchase a gift card.

Can I access Silhouette U on my phone, tablet, or mobile device?

Yes!!!  Silhouette U has all of the same awesome features on your phone, tablet, or mobile device.  Just type www.silhouetteu.com in your browser and you're all set.

Is there a Silhouette U app?

While there isn't an official 'app' for Silhouette U, you can access the website and all of its contents - including videos - on your mobile devices. And you can even add a shortcut icon to the home screen of your iPhone, iPad, or Android device so you can go directly to the Silhouette U website!

Android device: We don't have one of these to make our own video, but this website will walk you through how to add a shortcut on your home screen.
